As regards 19 it is probable that
Mr. Moilliet's informant had in mind the proposal
which was discussed by the Colonial Office
Conference, 1930, for the institution of a scheme
the
A
for reciprocity between Colonies and England and
Wales in the matter of the superannuation of
teachers who have served in either of those
countries and under Colonial Governments.
The possibility of instituting such a
scheme has been under discussion with the Board of
Education for several months and a circular is now
X
in draft inviting Colonial Governments to
participate in it.
We might answer Nos. 19 and 20 together
by sending such information as may be available about teaching appointments in Hong Kong, and saying in reply to (2) in No. 20 that a scheme is under
consideration which would enable a teacher who may be qualifying for superannuation under the Teachers
Superannuation
